It's true in all professional sports: the minor leaguers want to act as if they belong in the majors. It seems that Continental Basketball League coach (and former NBA All-star) Micheal Ray Richardson decided that slurring Jewish people and gay folks was his way back to the top. Richardson tagged Jews as "crafty" while speaking to reporters before an Albany Patroons game, then tossed in a healthy dose of homophobia when dealing with a heckler after the tip-off. He miscalculated: he's been suspended.
