(Vancouver, Canada) – Teachers in Vancouver expressed disappointment today that Liberal members voted against an amendment to protect British Columbia students from homophobic bullying in the mandatory codes of conduct the government introduced under Bill 22. All Liberals except MLA Lorne Mayencourt voted against an amendment to make sure these codes of conduct conformed to the spirit of the BC Human Rights Code in the May 15 vote.
