(Moscow, Russia) - The chairman of the Department for External Church Relations of the Moscow Patriarchate Metropolitan Kirill of Smolensk and Kaliningrad said he was sure that Western politicians would fail to make Moscow Mayor Yury Luzhkov to sanction a gay parade in the Russian capital. According to Metropolitan Kirill, now it is time for Christians to consolidate stating their common position regarding the issue. 'Otherwise the Moslems may stay alone to defend the traditional values.'
