At a time when theater seems to steer clear of controversy, gay playwright Nick Salamone hopes to make a big noise with the New York production of his new, satirical play Hillary Agonistes, which examines the moral complexities of the Senator and Democratic presidential candidate.
The tale is set in Spring 2009. Sixty-five million people disappear from around the world, and President Hillary Clinton is trying to make sense of it all. Is it the Rapture? She consults, among others, Pat Robertson, Stephen Hawking, Chelsea Clinton and the Antichrist.
