Gaywheels.com Top 10 Most Researched Vehicles -April - June, 2007

Quote:
1. Toyota Yaris
2. Saab 9-3 (sedan and convertible)
3. Mazda MX-5
4. Volkswagen Jetta
5. VW EOS
6. Dodge Caliber
7. Toyota Camry
8. Audi A3
9. VW Rabbit
10. Infiniti FX

Ouch. The Toyota Yaris has been at the number one spot for a year now. It's things like the Yaris that make me well-pleased that I do not drive cars. I would seriously rather walk everywhere than drive something that looked like a giant, pop-art suppository.

i love peanut butter

I saw this and thought, "yeah, right... who doesn't?" Another one of those 'blogging because you can' moments... but then,

Quote:
P.S. I think it's hilarious how the rest of the world thinks PB&J is disgusting. I was once in England and got a bunch of Swedish boys to eat PB&J, and they hemmed and hawed for a while, but ended up loving it. So, don't knock it until you've tried it!

Now, I think the so-called Peanut Butter and Jelly Campaign is -- well, let's not say what I think about it. There is certainly no reason to go concocting reasons to eat one of the world's perfect foods. But suddenly I feel so very... sheltered. I was rather aware of some damn peculiar differences in basic foodstuffs -- the French, for instance, have lovely chocolate (both their own and that which they dein to import), but seem to have, for reasons that can only be ascribed to madness, deprived themselves of the chocolate chip. Yup. No chips. However do they survive without chocolate chips? What would be the point of having the world's best chocolate littering your doorstop but never having a decent Tollhouse cookie? But I digress...

It is here alleged that (*GASP*) "the rest of the world thinks peanut butter and jelly is disgusting." Surely this is unfounded hyperbole of the rankest sort. It's one of the world's perfect foods -- you need one of those lethal peanut allergies to be averse to a PB&J.

So what say you, Rest-of-the-world, about peanut butter (with, of course, jelly -- peanut butter is not meant to be eaten without jelly)?

P.S. -- Peanut butter and bananas.... now THAT'S disgusting.[/quote]

No... it's those vegan-queer, thai fusion, peanut-butter sauce, cilantro and sprouts wraps that are disgusting.

Peanut butter belongs next to something sugary: jelly, chocolate, etc. Gawd, next Viktor will be telling us he likes Vegemite. lol

An ad.

(Actually, it would more correctly be termed a "public service announcement" but hey... 'ad' ... 'PSA' ... whatever.)

I can't say that I've ever once considered doing this.

Someone else has though, repeatedly.

Talk about found while wandering...this one hasn't been updated in years.

Homoerotic Art Museum

Museo del Gayo...double-entendre...Museo del Gallo (pronounced "galyo or gayo") would mean The Cock Museum in Spanish. Cute.

Popular baby names and gay porno names

Quote:
The www.socialsecurity.gov Web site allows searching their database of names for "Popular Baby Names" sorted by year.

In the past, I've noticed that the first names chosen for characters in gay porno have tracked the most popular baby names of about 10 to 20 years earlier. This makes sense because gay porno stories usually involve 18 to twenty-something year-old boys. The occasional "daddy" characters will typically have an older and more butch sounding name.

To confirm my observation, I recently checked the Social Security "Popular Baby Names" database from 1946 to 2006 and correlated it with gay porno stories written over the last fifty years

Fine. This is exactly the sort of thing I can't get away with. If I were to correlate names from Gay porn with names from the Social Security Administration's database... why, people would think me daft. They'd say really quite harsh things about me. Ah... but Mr. Kraemer does "ethnographic research concerning people with a minority sexual orientation or gender identity," and that means he can get away with such things.

But yes, Mr. Kraemer's observation makes sense, as he puts it, and for the reasons that he states. Not, mind you, that very many of the names in Gay porn are true names, but the very idea of a name for an 18 to 20-year-old must come from somewhere, and that place is generally called "reality."

He correlated it though? Over a 50 year period? Zounds!

Who funded his "research"? I wonder...

LOL I think Mr. Kraemer does this research because he likes it. He would rather have to.

In memoriam...for those who appreciated his artistry. I will never forget hearing Salif Keita's tribute to Sundiata, Mali's first king, for the first time in college. I was hooked.

Then I heard Sekou Sundiata and I was not only hooked, but I finally understood.

Sekou Sundiata 1948-2007
