Manchester Launches Legal Advice Surgery for Gays, Lesbians

Quote:
MANCHESTER, August 2, 2007 – A regular twice-monthly legal advice surgery specifically for gay men and women is to be launch this month in Manchester. It is thought to be the first of its kind in the country.

Two local ‘gay friendly’ legal firms have teamed up with Manchester’s Lesbian and Gay Foundation (LGF) to provide the service for the LGBT community.

“This latest advice surgery, which is the first of its kind in the country, will compliment our existing helpline and email service and enable us to provide our community the information they need to deal with all their legal issues,” commented Samantha Days, LGF’s community services manager.
...
The surgery will be held at the LGF offices in Princess House, 105 - 107 Princess Street, Manchester

They DO use words in a peculiar fashion. Oddly enough, it can be argued that, being English, they are using them correctly (by definition) and it is others who use words like 'surgery' in ways that were never intended to be common. Wink
