(SALT LAKE CITY, USA) - The Utah Legislature approved a lengthy list of rules governing student clubs at public schools on Wednesday in an effort to legally prohibit so-called gay-straight clubs from organizing to promote understanding and tolerance. The bill doesn’t ban gay clubs outright, though it lets school authorities reject clubs that threaten the “moral well-being” of students or “involve human sexuality” - prohibitions that critics say are certain to bring a court challenge.
