(USA) - Iowa's Catholic dioceses are calling for a constitutional amendment to ban Gay marriage. The Iowa Catholic Conference Board is the latest group to oppose a Polk County judge's ruling that struck down a state law banning same-sex marriage. Some state lawmakers, including House Minority Leader Chris Rants of Sioux City also say they favor passing an amendment to ban Gay marriage. Judge Robert Hansen has stayed his ruling in August while it's under appeal to the Iowa Supreme Court.
